The Center for Orthotics and Prosthetics is a full-service orthotics and prosthetics facility seeking immediate hire for a dedicated and committed ABC/BOC certified or licensed orthotist/prosthetist to join our team in Memphis, TN. We are a fast-paced, well-respected company with over 100 years of combined experience among our staff. Applicants who are eligible for licensure or certification encouraged to apply. 


  • Examines patient and evaluates needs resulting from disease, traumatic injury, or congenital problems. 
  • Assists physicians in pre-surgical planning and in the formulation of prescriptions for prostheses or orthoses to prevent or limit disability or restore mobility. 
  • Performs fitting including static and dynamic alignments. 
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of appliance for patients’ needs; makes necessary adjustments to ensure proper fit, function, and quality of workmanship. 
  • Maintains patient records and instructs patients in proper use of prosthesis and orthopedic devices. Provides specialized guidance concerning operation of devices for physical therapists and family members. 
  • Provides periodic adjustments and evaluations of patient progress. 
  • Develops and maintains working knowledge of insurance guidelines and billing procedures. 
  • Interprets patient data and model in continued care to ensure proper fit and function of orthotic care 
  • Rotational on-call weekends required.  

Education and Experience 

  • ABC certification/license or eligible 
  • At least one year of additional clinical experience after training is highly desirable. 

Required Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities 

  • Valid Driver’s License  
  • At least 1 year of experience in some aspect of health care (orthopedics, physical therapy, athletic trainer, etc.) 
  • Compassion for people and having a passion to work with people. 
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written. 
  • Ability to function in a fast past environment. 
  • Ability to multi-task. 
  • Excellent people skills, working with people from all walks of life. 
  • Great organizational skills. 
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds 
  • Ability to stand, sit, bend, squat, walk, climb, or kneel for extended periods of time
