Description
This Is a Career, Not a Job
Most P&O postings offer a clinic and a salary. This one offers a destination.
A Step Ahead Prosthetics has spent over a decade building a reputation for boutique, patient-centered care across two markets. We are not looking to fill a chair. We are looking for one clinician — the right one — to grow with us, master our model, and eventually own the Boston chapter of this story.
If you are a CPO who wants to spend the next phase of your career becoming genuinely exceptional at your craft, being mentored into operational leadership, and ultimately running a thriving clinical practice in one of the country’s most dynamic healthcare markets — this was written for you.
The Roadmap (Contractually Defined)
We’ve built this path clearly because we take it seriously. Every phase is documented in your employment agreement — no surprises, no moving goalposts.
Phase I — Deep Immersion (Hicksville NY)
You’ll work directly alongside senior clinical staff, absorbing the ASAP standard of care. High-volume, high-complexity case mix. Real mentorship, not lip service.
Phase II — Business of P&O (Hicksville NY)
Your scope expands to include insurance strategy, billing operations, and referral network development. You’ll begin quarterly visits to our Burlington office — learning the market, meeting the referral sources, planting your flag.
Phase III — The Handoff (NY + Boston)
Bi-monthly rotations in Boston. You’ll be building the professional network and community relationships you’ll need to lead. By the end of this phase, Boston knows your name.
Phase IV — Directorship (Boston MA)
You assume full clinical and operational leadership of the Boston facility. This is your practice to grow. A sweat equity and incentivized buyout structure is on the table for the right candidate.
