Company Overview
Active Brace and Limb is an ABC accredited company with ABC certified practitioners. Most custom fabrication is done at our own facilities by our qualified lab technicians, orthotists, and prosthetists. We provide high quality Orthotic, Prosthetic, and post Mastectomy services. Each one of our locations have a Certified Orthotic and Mastectomy Fitter on duty Monday through Friday.
Active Brace and Limb strives to stay educated in state of the art, high quality orthotic and prosthetic treatment. We also provide Mastectomy fittings, and Compression garments. Our friendly, knowledgeable front office staff play an important role helping customers navigate the complications of health insurance.

Our clinicians serve a diverse community:
Upper and lower extremity amputation, Sports and knee injuries, MS, Cerebral Palsy, Stroke, Traumatic Brain Injuries, ALS, Post Polio, Scoliosis and other spinal conditions, plagiocephaly, Spina Bifida, neuropathies, diabetes, paralysis, foot deformities, arthritis, fracture bracing, and post operative bracing.
Practitioners with as much as 40 years of experience gives us a deep base of solutions to problems. This compliments our emphasis on knowing and using the latest technologies and materials, including the newest computer driven prosthetic limbs and orthotic braces.
Company History
Active Brace and Limb was formed by local area practitioners in 2001 to provide a personalized alternative for northern Michigan residents in need of Orthotics and Prosthetics. In the 13 years that they have been in business they have expanded to three locations and 13 employees.
Active Brace and Limb employ both ABC and BOC certified practitioners, certified mastectomy fitters, and certified pedorthists, and offer over forty years of combined experience in orthotics and prosthetics. Our facility is registered for the Orthotic and Prosthetic residency site program which allows graduates to achieve their required clinic training hours. We take pride in hiring and developing all of our employees within the organization, including our practitioners.
As a northern Michigan based company, our practitioners live and work locally, and have deep roots in the community.
