Company History
Old dominion Prosthetics & Orthotics, Inc. was founded in 1976 by Ivan E. Letner Jr. in Charlottesville , Virginia. A practitioner in the field of prosthetics since 1965, he became certified by American Board for Certification (ABC) in 1975. When ODP&O was incorporated in 1976, there were three employees. Ivan E Letner Sr. joined his son in the business soon after, forming a strong famile alliance. Mr Letner Sr., was considered one of the founding fathers in the field of prosthetics, and started practicing in 1932.
In 1995 , the company relocated to its present office location on West Rio Rs. , in Charlottesville. In 1996, a filicity was established in Lynchburg, Virginia, followed in 1997 by another in Harrisonburg, Virginia.
