- Orthopedic Outpatient Physical Therapist
Description
Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and re-evaluations for The Orthopedic Center patients only
Develop individualized treatment plans using evidence-based practices
Treats patients to relieve pain, develop and restore function, and / or maintain maximum functioning using acceptable standards of practice and evidence-based techniques.
Instructs and informs participating members of the health care team, the patient, and the family/caregivers regarding the plan of care, functional limitations, and progress toward goals.
Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and rehabilitation programs
Educate patients on their conditions and treatment plans
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care
Complete compliant and timely documentation in our EMR system, Prompt
Participate in continuous professional development and training
Be responsible for demonstrating excellent customer service and contributing to overall effectiveness.
Meet minimum utilization goals and other business objectives
Requirements
Skills & Qualifications
Graduate from a CAPTE accredited Physical Therapy Program.
Master’s degree in physical therapy. Recent graduates encouraged to apply
A Physical Therapist currently licensed in Florida (or able to expeditiously begin licensing process)
Working knowledge of computer and EMR software applications, ATHENA experience is a bonus
Basic Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association
Preferred Qualifications:
1 year of proven experience working in a outpatient physical therapy setting preferred
Outstanding interpersonal skills, consistent ability to demonstrate clinical excellence, strong desire to develop professionally
Strong organizational, prioritizing, and analytical skills
Ability to effectively multitask.
Focused on quality patient care with a positive, compassionate perspective.
